After a terribly long hiatus from the stage, Definition excitingly returns to the stage as part of Steppenwolf’s Lookout Series. As Creative Director, it’s refreshing to produce theatre again with the bitingly funny WHITE. TJ’s Boozy Chocolate Truffles 🍫 — While Ali left me a half-consumed box of these last week with kind/well-meaning intentions, I have minimal self-control and devoured the remaining over subsequent days. 1Password 🔒— You may laugh for recc’ing a password management tool, but holy wow it has made my life honestly 30% better. For mere $2 a month, I enjoy the ease of auto-saved passwords across all devices, no matter the brand, seamlessly. Favorite feature: secure sharing links for when my dad asks for our HBO password—including the ability to customize how long the link remains active. Works for other sensitive info like CC’s + SSNs. Okay, rant over.

Belmont AIDS Community Garden

In the spirit of the surprise of 70° Saturday we just had, I was excited to stumble upon the AIDS Community Garden nearing completion. While fences are still up, it seems folks, definitely not me, could slip through for an early preview.

Rise Up Exhibit 🏳️‍🌈 — Shamefully I had not visited the Skokie Holocaust Museum until this past weekend. My rents and I trekked down to view both the general museum and the touring Rise Up: Stonewall & The LGBTQ Rights Movement exhibition from the Newsusem. While I would have enjoyed it being double the size, the colorful + visually pleasing displays dove into rich queer history. I’m particularly eager to learn more about the international protest group: The Transexual Menace. Visit in IL through May 8.
